About Paul
For 70 years, Paul — better known to so many as “Dube” — has been making memories, building relationships, and leaving his mark on the people fortunate enough to know him.
Paul’s story began in Northumberland, where growing up meant being a proud Pineknotter. Residing on King Street, Paul enjoyed riding his bike, baseball games, friendships, and adventures that helped shape the outgoing, energetic, and caring person so many have come to know and love.
Those Northumberland roots have always remained an important part of who Paul is. From his days as a Shikellamy Brave to becoming a Penn State graduate, Paul has carried with him the lessons and experiences that have helped define his life.
Through every chapter, Paul has remained grounded in what matters most: his faith and his family. He has built a life full of meaningful relationships, laughter, and service. Whether he’s spending time with family, cheering on the Phillies, rooting for the Eagles, or enjoying a round of golf at Bucknell, Paul knows how to make the most of life.
Paul is known for his wisdom, his magnetic personality, and his ability to make people feel welcome. Throughout his successful career and through his many acts of service, he has touched countless lives. He has never simply been someone who accomplished things — he has been someone who made a difference!
At 70, Paul’s story is not measured simply in years. It is measured in the people he has helped, the friendships he has made, the family he has cherished, the lessons he has shared, and the lives he has touched along the way.
Happy 70th birthday, Dube! Here’s to 70 years of a life well lived — and to many more fairways, ballgames, family gatherings, laughter, stories, and adventures still ahead.
The program
Arrive, mingle, grab a drink! We kindly ask that you are in the building no later than 4:50 PM, to maximize the surprise effect!
Our guest of honor arrives! Cue the classic shouting of “Surprise!” and “Happy Birthday!” With any luck, Paul will, in fact, be surprised.
A prayer of thanks, then dinner is served!
An open mic for Paul’s friends & family to share a story, a favorite memory, or maybe even a light roast of our guest of honor. Golf tales are strongly encouraged!

December 28th — born in 1956, of course! We’re having the party in October to (hopefully) increase the chances of surprising Paul!
There is ample parking space at the venue — Buhrig’s features over 100 complimentary parking spaces; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of their lots. There is also street parking along East Main Street and North Market Street.
And remember — we kindly ask that you are in the building no later than 4:50 PM, to maximize the surprise effect!
